The Lite RGCMS

We have created the Lite RGCMS for those who still want to manage their own content, but do not have that much money to spend on their website initially.

When we first started with the Lite CMS, we created a set look and feel, that could be modified slightly. After some though on the matter, we decided to give our clients the same flexibility in terms of what their website looks like, so now we design a fully custom template for your CMS Lite website. Here is a comparrison chart between the two:

As you can see, the RGCMS Lite basically just limits you to how many pages, galleries and forms you can create, but costs less than half the price of the Full RGCMS.

Can I in the future upgrade to a full CMS?

Should you ever require more pages, galleries or forms, we can very easily upgrade your RGCMS Lite to the full RGCMS - all it costs is the balance between the two (R3 200), then we do the upgrade, and unlock your CMS to become the full product.

What does it cost in total?

The RGCMS Lite can only be hosted with us. If you already have hosting elsewhere, we would give you your first years hosting for free if you move over to us.

What happened to the old RGCMS Lite?

For those who want a website up and running as quickly as possible, the old RGCMS Lite is still available. We now call it the RGCMS Mini. With the RGCMS MIni you don't get a custom template, just a custom banner design, which is included in the price.

What are the features of the RGCMS Mini?

It is based on the normal, or Standard RGCMS, but with a few less features than the Standard version. The main difference is that, unlike with the Standard RGCMS, you do not get a fully custom template built to your specifications. The Lite RGCMS has a standard template, and the structure remains more or less the same for every copy.

There are, however, several ways that the lite cms can be customized:

Customizations for the RGCMS Mini

A fully custom banner for the site. The client can provide us with a banner, or we can design one for them. The banner can basically be any size, but we do recommend to have it between 770 pixels and 960 pixels wide, and not higher than about 250 pixels. This is the only part that needs to be set up by us when buying the lite cms.

After the setup has been completed, the client will have access to his/her cms via the admin login panel, and will be able to make several changes to the look and feel of the template from within the admin panel - no HTML or CSS knowledge necessary at all!

Some of these include:

• Select a custom, web friendly font
• Set the size and colour of the main body text
• Specify a primary and secondary colour, as well as the colours that fill the background of the template
• Specify a colour for hyperlinks
• Choose whether to have the Navigation menu on the left or on the right

This allows the lite cms to still have a very unique look and feel, and any of these settings can be changed whenever the client wants to.

You can create as many pages as you want, as many forms as you want, but your photo gallery can only have photos (there are no albums and galleries like the Full RGCMS).
