A Wordpress blog
Wordpress is a very popular and powerful, open source blogging system. Wordpress has a very big subscriber base, and many developers specialize in creating plugins and add-ons for it.
Being open source, Wordpress is 100% free to use. It can even be used as a CMS on its own. Since its free, we just charge for the installation of the software on your website (that must be hosted with us, by the way). After that we hand the whole site over to you, and from there on, it's entirely in your hands.
How much does a Wordpress blog cost?
To setup a Wordpress blog on your domain (that you host with us), costs R999 once off (which EXCLUDES yearly hosting fees).
What is included?
Being so cheap, we just do the installation of your Wordpress blog/CMS. We then provide you with the username and password (which you can change if you want), and you take over completely from there.
Wordpress has an enormous community of developers who have created plugins and add-ons for your blog. You are free to install any of these yourself - if you need our help with any of the installations, we charge our regular maintenance fee of R145 per half hour. (because the plugins are created by third party developers, we cannot be held responsible if the plugin doesn't work with your version of the software, and any time spent will still be charged for...)
What is NOT included?
We ONLY do the installation of the software on your site. After that we provide you with the username and password, and from there it is up to you to get the site populated and set up the way you want.
We do not:
- Install a template (custom or otherwise)
- Install plugins and/or add-ons for you
- Load any content or pages for you
We basically give you an empty Wordpress blog, with the default theme, and you take it from there.

Let's say you want a Wordpress blog installed on www.yourbrandnewdomain.co.za, the costs will be:

After that, a yearly fee for the hosting applies, which is either R1 330 (as in this example) per year, or R90 per month when paying with a credit card (if paying per month, domain registration/renewal is free)
